I. Return Eligibility and Timeframes

MokThara Creations accepts returns and exchanges when the issue is due to a delivery or product integrity fault. Returns are eligible for a full refund or exchange, with no restocking fee, if the item received is damaged during transit, has a demonstrable manufacturing defect, or if an incorrect item was shipped.

Reporting and Dispatch: Customers must formally report any issues (damage, defect, or wrong item) to us within 48 hours of receiving the order. Following the formal acceptance of the return request, the product must be dispatched back to us within 7 days of the original shipment receipt. It is crucial not to ship any product back until a "Return Accepted" confirmation has been formally issued by MokThara Creations; unauthorized returns will not be processed.

II. Non-Acceptable Return Conditions

Returns will be rejected under the following circumstances:

  1. Products are dispatched to us after the 7-day return window has closed.

  2. Items that have been worn, washed, or show signs of use.

  3. Products purchased under the "SALE" or promotional category.

  4. Returns are missing essential original components (e.g., a saree returned without its blouse piece).

  5. Items that have been modified, customized, or subjected to stitching services.

  6. Any product that was part of a custom stitching service provided by us.

  7. Returns based solely on dissatisfaction with color fastness, as this is not considered a defect due to the complex nature of our dyeing processes.

III. Financial Charges and Deductions

For returns accepted due to buyer discretion (e.g., the buyer not liking the color or fabric), the following deductions apply:

  • Restocking Fee: A flat fee of $15 per returned item.

  • Payment Gateway Fee: A mandatory deduction of 3.5% of the total order amount is applied to cover non-refundable fees charged by payment processors.

    • The final refund calculation is: Total Amount - (3.5% of Total Amount + $15).

  • Additional Restocking Fee: Items returned in compromised condition (e.g., wrinkled, or damaged due to improper return packaging) will incur an additional fee ranging from $10 to $30, determined on a case-by-case basis.

  • Return Shipping: The customer is responsible for all costs associated with shipping the product back to MokThara Creations.

IV. Refund and Resolution Options

Upon inspection, customers will be offered one of three resolutions: a replacement for an alternate product of equal value, a refund to the original payment method, or the issuance of Store Credit (Coupon Code).

Store Credit Alternative: To avoid the 3.5% payment gateway fee deduction, the customer may opt for Store Credit. In this case, the Store Credit value will be the Total Amount minus only the $15 Restocking Fee. Refunds will commence within 2 business days of receiving and inspecting the return, requiring an additional 5-10 business days to reflect on bank or credit card statements.

V. Order Cancellation Policy

Order Cancellations are not permitted. In lieu of cancellation, the buyer may choose an alternate product of the same value or Store Credit. Regardless of the choice, a mandatory 3.5% deduction is applied to the total order value due to non-refundable payment gateway fees.
